With genres ranging from Djavan to Caetano Veloso, São Paulo singer-songwriter Jota.Pê is considered one of the best young voices in Brazil. Nominated for the Grammy Awards in 2021 thanks to his participation in the duo project "Àvuà", Jota.Pê has performed at prominent events such as TEDxSaoPaulo, Sofar Sounds, Casa Natura, Memorial da América Latina, SIM São Paulo and others, in addition to participating in The Voice Brasil 2017. In 2015 he released his first album "Crônicas de um Sonhador", and recently the EP "Garoa", produced by Lucas Mayer and with the participation of great musicians such as Marcelo Mariano and Kabé Pinheiro.

Born in Osasco, SP, João Paulo (Jota.Pê) comes from a family of musicians. His grandfather played the chorinho all his life, his uncle is an orchestra conductor, his father sings and was even the opening act of the group Originais do Samba. The family's closeness to music has been present in Jota's daily life. Family parties with lots of music made Jota, at the age of ten, living in Fortaleza, begin to feel the urge to learn to play. His mother gave him his first guitar and he began to learn to play on his own with magazines bought at newsstands. He had several bands, at first rock bands, and even played with his chemistry teacher at school. During his adolescence he listened to everything from Zeca Pagodinho to System Of A Down, and gradually realized the place of all these influences in his art. He started composing at the age of 15 and at 22, after trying for a while to dedicate himself to other things such as digital design and computer science, he decided to throw himself into what he really likes, music.

Today Jota.pê understands more about his own art, with currents ranging from Jorge Ben to Caetano Veloso, passing through the mangue-beat of Chico Science, the São Paulo singer-songwriter Jota.pê, released his first album "Crônicas de um Sonhador" in November 2015, and recently 4 singles belonging to the EP "Garoa". One of the tracks from this EP, "Uns Cafuné a Domicilio", went viral with a homemade video on Twitter, being shared and praised by Lulu Santos, Gregório Duvivier, Emicida and other celebrities. The artist has already performed at TEDx, Memorial da América Latina for more than a thousand people, Rio2C, Show Livre, besides participating in The Voice Brazil 2017, being considered by Lulu Santos one of the best voices of all seasons of the program.
