Hip-Hop, samba, rapcore - Brazil
Marcelo D2
Pioneer in the mix of samba and hip hop, considered a mythical figure of Brazilian music and activism.

Recognized as a pioneer in the mix of samba and hip hop. Marcelo D2 is considered a mythical figure of Brazilian music and activism. A boy who became a man in the favelas and found a way out of poverty in rap. A man who became a pioneer by mixing hip hop with samba, two apparently opposite styles.
After years D2 returns to the roots of samba with his new album, he continues with the mix of bass in trap, hip hop and classic samba calling it the new traditional samba. Besides the music he also got involved in the creation of a new video, a 15 minute short film, representing the three fundamental pillars of samba portraying in an old fashioned way the problems of today's youth.
Marcelo is now ready to show his new creative project to the Spanish public.
