Alceu Valença

Alceu Valença, one of Brazil’s most influential artists, visited Barcelona and Madrid last July, offering his energetic live performance and selling out his shows. He has 35 albums behind him, more than 5 million records sold and thanks to his poetry, he is considered one of the masters of Brazilian music composition. His perfect fusion of the popular sounds of northeastern Brazil with hard rock influences is influenced by styles such as folk, forró, baião, xote, or frevo among others. Baco is a Brazilian rapper, singer and songwriter who began to gain popularity through the release of the song Sulicídio in 2016 with rapper Diomedes Chinaski. Diogo Nogueira

Singer and composer Diogo Nogueira is nowadays one of the main names of the current scene and new generation of Brazilian samba. Son of the well-known Joao Nogueira, it can be said that he has music in his blood and presents himself as a born samba artist. With nine albums released and four DVDs behind him, and more than one million copies sold, Diogo Nogueira has been nominated for several Latin Grammy Awards, an award he has won twice. The Brazilian artist will visit Europe in early 2022.

Lagum

This young alternative pop band from Belo Horizonte was founded with the union of four friends in 2014. After a friend convinced them to form a band to perform at the concert hall where he worked, the band released their first album in 2016. In February 2018 they released the acoustic version of the song “Deixa” counting with the collaboration of singer Ana Gabriela, catapulting that song to success, being one of the most listened to songs in the country, which led them to gain visibility, participate in different TV shows and sign a contract with Sony Music Brazil.

Marcelo D2

Marcelo D2 is a mythical figure of Brazilian music and activism. A boy who became a man in the favelas and found a way out of poverty in rap. Marcelo D2 is a man who became a pioneer in mixing hip hop and samba, two apparently opposite styles. The also vocalist of the rapcore group Planet Hemp is known for his music that ranges from the apology to marijuana to the narration of everyday issues, with danceable beats that make him have fans from the favelas of Brazil to the most exclusive residential complexes, thus leaving the stereotype of Brazilian hip hop focused on crime and marginality.

Brazilian music fans love him because since he started recording music back in 1963, Marcos Valle’s discography has included many rare grooves, exotica, samba, bossa, soundtracks, rock, funk, disco, and psychedelia. But for some time now this Brazilian artist has ceased to be just a little secret among collectors of rare originals and/or timely reissues. Marcos Valle’s legacy has been re-examined, and now his name serves as a definitive argument for all those who claim that in the Brazilian encyclopedia of sound there is never any small print. Natiruts

With nine studio albums and three DVDs behind them, Natiruts is one of the most international bands in Brazil. This band is able to fill halls and stadiums and sell out concerts around the globe. Natiruts has created its own world music formula fusing the most traditional reggae with Brazilian sounds, thus becoming the most listened to band with lyrics in Portuguese on the planet. New York Ska Jazz Ensemble

New York Ska Jazz Ensemble is a compact block of musicians with thousands of concerts under their belt. Their shows make them one of the most demanded bands due to their exciting live performances. Born during a European tour of The Toasters in 1994, the idea of NYSJE was to create a combo with members of The Toasters, The Scofflaws, and The Skatalites that, from classic instrumental ska, would embrace the rhythms and harmonies of modern jazz. More than twenty years have passed since that initial idea and 15 albums later, NYSJE is one of the bands that have contributed the most to the revival of traditional Jamaican sounds.

With more than 20 years of life, Nyahbingi Sound is one of the Spanish groups of reference as far as urban and Jamaican music is concerned. Planet Hemp

With more than 25 years under their belt, Planet Hemp is one of the most important bands in the Brazilian music scene. A mix of rock and hip hop, different gold and silver records and thousands of fans around the world. Planet Hemp returns to Europe with Marcelo D2 and BNegao on vocals, Formigao on bass, Pedrinho on drums and Bruno on guitar. Ras Zohen

David Giménez Martín aka Ras Zohen is a young multidisciplinary artist who combines his facets as a singer, composer, and producer of urban and Jamaican music. Influenced from a young age by hip hop, he ended up delving into the sounds of the island of Jamaica. Reggae and dancehall have made him work, collaborate and share the stage with artists such as Agent Sasco, Skarra Mucci, Dawn Penn, General Levy, Sara Lugo, and Jah Fabio. In 2022, after going through a period of apparent tranquility in which he has focused on cooking his new work influenced by the most current rhythms, he returns with a renewed urban sound.

TIAGO IORC

Since his debut in 2008, TIAGO IORC has released 5 albums that have helped him to win several Latin Grammy Awards. He also has successful collaborations with artists such as Maria Gadú, Milton Nascimento, Silva, and Sandy, being also the artistic producer of Anavitória’s first album, participating in it as co-author of “Trevo (Tu)”. TIAGO IORC was the first artist to star for the second time in 2019 on MTV Acoustic, counting with guests Jorge Drexler and Duda Beat, with whom he performed the hit in both Portugal and Brazil “Tangerine”.
